​Zeke is officially ready to find the forever home he’s always deserved after successfully recovering from double TPLO surgery. And according to his foster dad, he’s like a whole new dog — happier, more confident, playful, and loving life.
​
Zeke is the perfect mix of adventure buddy and couch companion. He loves walks around the pond where he checks in on all his duck friends, and he’s wonderful on leash — no dragging you down the street, just happy to stroll beside you. He also loves lounging in the yard soaking up the sunshine. He’s also the kind of dog that’s happy just being near his people — whether that’s hanging out in the yard or being your loyal little sidekick while you tinker away in the garage.

Toys are one of Zeke’s greatest joys in life. Stuffies usually have a short life expectancy around him, but ropes, tug toys, balls, fetch, and puzzle toys are all favourites. He’ll happily bring the ball right back and gently place it in your hand so you can throw it again.
​
He’s incredibly smart, eager to learn, house trained, great in the car, and place trained, meaning he calmly waits on his bed for guests or dinner instead of jumping all over everyone. Zeke also does great free roaming at home while his foster dad is at work.
​
Zeke loves people, including small children, and gets along well with other dogs. While not officially cat tested, he’s only shown calm curiosity toward cats at adoption events. Horses? Completely unbothered.
​
Like many rescue dogs, Zeke carries a few scars from his past. He likely experienced abuse early in life, so crates are extremely stressful for him and loud noises like thunder or construction can make him nervous. During those moments, he just looks for reassurance, belly rubs, or a quiet place to settle. He also prefers chin scratches and gentle affection over being pet directly on top of the head right away.
​
And just in case you needed one more reason to fall in love with him — Zeke has one ear that stands straight up and one floppy ear, which somehow matches his goofy, lovable personality perfectly.
​
Despite everything he’s been through, Zeke has never lost his love for people. He is affectionate, loyal, goofy, resilient, and so ready to finally have a family of his own.
