About Me
Link is a resilient, playful young dog with a story that shows just how strong and loving he is. Born outdoors in a rural community during freezing winter temperatures, he survived competing for food, warmth, and safety before coming into care. Despite this rough start, Link has blossomed into a loyal, affectionate, and high-spirited companion ready to find his forever family.
This large pup is full of energy and loves running, wrestling, and playing, making him a perfect match for an active household. He also has some quirky and lovable habits — Link absolutely loves sticks and will carry them with him everywhere, and he even enjoys veggies! He is intelligent and curious, carefully observing his surroundings and the people around him, and he already shows signs of trust and affection—once he warms up, he loves tummy rubs, paw holding, and cuddles. Link’s excitement can be a bit high at first, but with consistent guidance, he learns to settle and enjoys quiet moments alongside his humans.
Link is house-trained, crate-trained, and is actively working on leash training with his foster. His crate serves as a safe and comfortable space where he can rest, recharge, and feel secure. He is strong and can pull at times, so he will need a confident handler to continue building good leash manners. To help him settle into a new home and make it his forever home, his new family is required to enroll in training classes within the first two weeks of adoption. These classes will help him build confidence, manage his energy, and become the best companion he can be.
He is comfortable with other dogs. He has met children positively, though he has not had one-on-one experience or lived in a home with kids, and his cat compatibility is unknown.
Link would thrive in a home that can provide patience, structure, daily exercise, and love, such as walks, playtime in a secure yard, and gentle training sessions to challenge his mind and energy. He is happiest in a calm, supportive environment where he can gradually build trust and feel secure.
Link is a heartwarming, loyal, and playful dog who will reward his family with endless love, laughter, and companionship. With the right home, patience, and structured training, he’s ready to flourish and become a cherished member of the family.
