Although nervous at first, when she warms up to you she loves to cuddle in bed. Especially if she can be under the covers! Wembley loves to explore and chirps her way around the house. Especially in the morning when she’s excited to see you! She loves to play with her flirt pole and the laser beam really gets her going. Age: 1 year
Approx.size/weight when full grown: 6-8 lbs
Breed: DHS mix
History: She came to us form a reserve in Sask.
French Toast is a beautiful, kind cat who loves pets and quality time with her people. She may take a bit of time to adjust to her new home and settle in, but after that she loves men, women and children of all ages and is super friendly with strangers and family alike! French Toast prefers her cuddles with 4 feet on the ground/couch rather than your lap or arms but she likes to be around her people and will follow you around and chat with you all day if allowed. She has the softest fur you've ever felt and is a super gentle soul. She does not like dogs therefore needs a dog free home

Name: Buddy
Gender: Male
Age: Oct 10 2019
Approx.size/weight when full grown: 10 lbs

Adoption Status: Available

Name: Phoenix
Gender: Male
Age: Born March 28, 2017
Approx. size/weight when fully grown: 60-90 lbs.
Breed: Boxer mix
History: Always eager to lap up your love, friendly Phoenix is passionate about people, couch time and cuddles. Putting the "p" into playful, this happily energetic pup also loves playing with toys and sticks and particularly enjoys games of tug-o-war. Highly intelligent and slightly independent, he’s honing his leash walking skills but remains insecure around strangers, causing him to lunge or growl. He must, therefore, wear a muzzle when meeting new people and going to the vet. For these reasons, Phoenix is best suited to a home without children or other animals where experienced adopters will perfect his skills and further socialize him in exchange for his enduring loyalty and love.

Tinkerbelle & Shadow (Bonded Pair)

Name: Tinkerbelle

Gender: Female
Age: 8 years old
Approx. size/weight when fully grown: 40-45 lbs. (medium height)
Breed: American Eskimo mix
History: An appealing blend of affectionate and active, tender hearted Tinkerbelle LOVES going on walks as much as she LOVES being close to those she trusts and being petted. Having come from a hoarding situation several years ago, this usually happy honey is nervous when encountering new people (she would benefit from some confidence classes) but is more open to meeting them and being handled as long as she’s with Shadow.

Name: Shadow

Gender: Male
Age: 5 years old
Approx. size/weight when full grown: 86 lbs. (large)
Breed: Lab Mastiff mix
History: Sweet Shadow is happiest when playing with other dogs, relaxing indoors and running around the yard with Tinkerbelle. Shy when meeting new people and scared of the world in general (training and time may change this), his fear of being leashed keeps him from going on walks with her. And so, for this beautiful, bonded pair to flourish, they need a home with a securely fenced yard and loving adopters to faithfully walk Tinkerbelle while patiently teaching Shadow that the world can be wonderful after all.

Adoption Status: Available

Name: Xylia
Gender: Female
Age: Born Mar 1 2020
Approx.size/weight when full grown: 60-90 lbs
Breed: Shepherd Mix
History: She was born in care and adopted out by her foster family. But they shortly decided that she was not a fit for them.

Xylia is a very intelligent, high energy, goofy puppy who has a ways to go before she grows into her big paws! At almost five months old, she (like most puppies!) is still is learning some manners and how to manage her impulses, and can play a bit rough by mouthing people (although this has decreased over the past three weeks that we've had her).

Xylia loves training games, going for walks, sniffing, playing with other dogs, splashing in the kiddie pool in the back yard, and sunbathing on the deck.

Xylia is afraid of new people, although she has made progress with this during the three weeks she's been in her current foster home. She reacts to new people by growling and barking (and lunging if she is on-leash), but is learning that it is okay to choose to walk away from the "scary strangers," and to trust that her humans will keep her safe. She will need a family that is committed to positive reinforcement training, and working with an approved trainer to help Xylia overcome her fears.

Xylia warms up faster to women and children than to men, but after a day and a half in her current foster home, she decided that her foster dad was a-okay. She is good with kids, although older and/or dog-savvy kids will be more her speed, as she can play rough.

Xylia is very food-motivated, and is happy to 'work' for her kibble by practicing her skills or learning new ones. Xylia's ideal family will be active, enjoy spending lots of time outdoors, and will ensure that she gets the physical activity and mental stimulation that she needs, while making sure she feels safe and secure. Have a resident dog that likes to play? Even better! Need a running or hiking buddy? Xylia is your gal! Xylia will also be a great candidate for dog sports such as agility and nosework. She might be afraid of people, but Xylia is fearless when it comes to physical obstacles or intellectual challenges.

We are looking for a family that is committed to working with her to build her confidence by working with a trainer either on a one on one setting or a class setting. We would like to see sessions booked for when she goes home

She currently needs a home with no young kids

Adoption Status: Pending Adoption

Name: Becks
Gender: Female
Age: Sept 16 2019
Approx.size/weight when full grown: 6 lbs
Breed: DHS
History: She came into our care from a reserve with her kittens (Beer litter). Becks is the absolute sweetest cat I have ever met. She is very gentle and calm. She talks to you when you speak to her, as if you’re having a real conversation. She loves head rubs, cheek rubs and belly rubs. She is not skittish at all and just loves being around people. She purrs so loud and loves being picked up. She has been around our two dogs and two cats without issue.
