Our Adoption Process
We do our best to try and review all incoming applications within a 48 hour time frame.
Keeping in mind that our rescue is ran by volunteers we will only be contacting the applications that are a great match with one of our dogs or cats.
What does our adoption process look like?

Application is received and will be reviewed in 24-48 hours

If renting Landlord Consent and or condo pet policy will be requested. This is required before we can contact references
-
References will be contacted and if there are pets in the home vet records will be requested. We require all animals to have up to date Rabies and Basic vaccinations

Meeting will be set up to have ALL people living in the home come and meet our team and the animal
-
Home Check will be set up, adoption paper finalized and adoption fee paid
-
Vet appointment set to have needed vetting completed

Animal goes home fully vetted
All animals currently in the home are required to be fully vaccinated and spayed/neutered. We will request vet records.
Puppies 11 months and under are $475
Dogs 12 months and older are $400
Kittens 11 months and under are $200
Cats 12 months and older are $175
Our adoption fee includes the following:

*** Please Note: We require our Dog adopters to have a secured fenced yard (unless you live in a condo) and all over the age of 18. All renters need to provide Landlord consent before their application can be processed***

History: Phoenix is back in our care after being adopted out as a pup. This is at no fault of his own. His family returned him as they had some concerns with his re-activeness to their other dog and children. After taking him back into our care we realized this was due to his emaciated state. He is now back to being healthy. He is still insecure around strangers and we are working on proper introductions with dogs. He has a lot of energy but also loves to cuddle up on the couch with you. He is a very loving happy pup that would make a great addition to a family with dog experience, no young children and willing to work with him

History: She is the sweetest pup ever. She is learning to play. She is overly interested in cats so we are looking for a home without cats. We have learned that she is very scared of other dogs which turns into aggressive reactions. We are working with a trainer on this. All this silly girl wants to do is be curled up in your lap.

History: Sebastian was placed on a chain at the age of 10 weeks old to learn to be a guard dog on a reserve. Due to what seems to be something in the soil of area he was tried too he lost half his body weight twice, once this year and once a year ago. He saw our vet both times. He is now back to a very healthy weight and his owner said it was best for him to find a new home. He is prone to get crystals in his urine but we seem to have it under control by making sure he has access to water all the time and is eating high quality dog food.
We are still learning about him, He loves people but can get a little silly and overly excited so for right now a home with no kids under 12 is ideal. We need to test him with cats and dogs but so far while one walks he does not seem to care.

History: Memphis is from our G litter of pups. She was recently returned to us as her family was having a hard time keeping up with her shedding and it was starting to effect allergies in the home. This sweetheart has a TON of energy. She is house and kennel trained but showing some signs of separation anxiety therefore needs a family that is willing to work with her. She is a great walker and makes am amazing jogging partner as per one of our volunteer dog walkers that is a marathon runner. She is good with kids (but does not know her size so no small kids) cats and other dogs. She is working on greeting dogs properly on leash. She is working on her leash aggression towards dogs while on leash. Her ideal home would be a home with minimum people and preferably a male in the home. We find that she is night and day with her anxiety when with men compared to women. She is much calmer with men

History: Double has been with us since the summer of 2017. Double Double loves humans, and loves to play with children. She has learned a few tricks, such a sit, yup, jumped, twirl. Her favorite activities are to receive pets, play hide and seek and hang out in boxes. She is unsure of dogs but with the right introduction we think she would be fine. She was in a foster home as the only animal for a while time so she is slowly adjusting to living with another cat but doing well

History: She came into care early 2018 from Manitoba with a litter of pups. Shortly we found out that she had Heartworm. The treatment was hard but Beauty did great and in Dec 2018 finished her treatment successfully. We do not know what her life was like before coming into care but she was living on a reservation. She can be somewhat selective with her dog friends but just needs guidance and training on how to play with dogs. She can be high energy but loves to play and go for walks so her energy can be easily spent. She would benefit from dog classes.

History: Zorro is a total cuddle-bug. He will play, but his preference is to snuggle in your lap and be loved on. He is super gentle, loves kids, good with other cats, and a bit unsure of dogs(we are building confidence for him too, but he may do best with a dog who is respectful of his space). He is probably the cuddliest of all the cats, and he absolutely adores the younger kitten.
He is currently having some stomach issues when it comes to food. We are not sure yet which foods are affecting him but now that he is on a limited ingredient kibble he is not having issues.
